Last year, I ran the hardest 5k of my life.
I say hardest loosely…it was difficult because not only was the course hard, but it was on Thanksgiving and all I wanted to do was sleep in!
However, at the end of the race I felt more accomplished than any one of my friends & family who did not participate…and knew I could eat guilt free all day! Which was exactly what I did.
The B’ville Turkey Trot. in it’s 45th year (!!!), is definitely the most popular of the various Turkey Trots in the area. Hundreds of people show up, some dressed as turkeys! There is an excitement in the air, it’s a feel good morning.
It’s this Thursday at 9:15am for the 5k & 10am for the 10k.
The course starts at C.W Baker High school and runs through the neighborhoods surrounding the school. You get a great view of the old homes in B’ville along with encouragement from neighbors and friends. It’s really a great race. If you’re thinking of doing a holiday race this year, make the Turkey Trot the one
Online registration has closed but you can still register up until 20 minutes before the race, or in the days before the race at Fleet Feet in E. Syracuse.
