Phoebe’s is in my top 5 favorite restaurants in Syracuse. Hands down, they’ve got the most delicious food, a great selection of wine and don’t even get me started on how much I love the cozy atmosphere. A group of my girlfriends and I went to Phoebe’s on Valentine’s Day…to celebrate being single –whatever, it was worth it…we had a delicious dinner! We celebrate birthday’s at Phoebe’s…we absolutely love it. They also have a great lunch menu, if you’re looking for something quick.
If you’re ever thinking of a perfect date, Phoebe’s is it. There’s a sense of comfort when you walk in, it’s intimate and dark…very romantic. It’s not intimidating, it’s a great spot to get to know someone. I like Phoebe’s because it’s right across the street from Syracuse Stage. It’s sort of removed from the hustle and bustle of the Armory Square neighborhood, it sits perfectly on the corner of East Genesee & Irving, just perfectly.
If I must say though, the best night of the week to go to Phoebe’s is on a Thursday. This is because there’s live jazz…just add jazz into the mix at any dining establishment, and it’s the perfect equation for a good time.
Their jazz is soothing, it’s a great place to post up at the bar and have a drink. You will see a variety of people there, it’s a perfect place to people watch. You will find older couples, young couples, a group of girlfriends having dinner, celebrations, students, families, etc…
Tip: $1 off your drink from 8-9pm on Thursdays!
